hi gang,
FINALLY back in civilization! been on assignment modifying some equipment with special intakes to keep sand from diabling the unit.
now in london and have uncensored access to internet. will be in the states monday.
havent been able to get thru all the emails ive rec'd over the last month, but some of you wrote to ask for more info on where to buy parts for safety system.
last i checked, i had one complete ts-11 safety, complete, and one baso hr-15 valve, also complete (valve and thermomagnetic control). both are commercial grade but the ts-11 is more "original" to chambers. see pics in the service manual.
anyway, i think i paid around $90 bucks for each. if anyone wants one at that price let me know.
re pilot burners; i have two that look like the original chambers unit (see the service manual pics) that i paid around $40 each for and one robertshaw mini pilot that i paid $50 for (toac charges $119 for it!) the mini pilot makes for a cleaner looking assembly in my opinion. you can have any of them for my cost.
re tubing, fittings etc;
i have a few pieces of 3/8 copper (commercial grade) fabricated for the thermostat to safety valve connection. $15 buck each. i also have some of the shorter, but harder to make, valve to burner tubing that you can have for $10.
fittings are available at local harware store but i probably have enough laying around to supply as a kit. cant remember what it cost me.
the valves are new in box and retail for around $150. first come first served. dated/timed replies on this site will determine the "winners".
i can still access my suppliers and probably beat any retail prices. ive offered this in the past but no one was interested.
if you want a package deal for the do it yourselfer (safety valve, cusom bent tubing, plus or minus fittings) let me know. again, ive offered this before, this is the last time.
